Minimize blog comment spam in blogger.com with "captcha"

There's nothing more annoying to a new blogger - or even an established weblog author - than finding that your weblog is starting to become overrun with comment spam, with stupid pointless comments that are injected into your blog along with thousands of others in a vain attempt to create lots of inbound links for porn sites, gambling sites, or worse. Meanwhile, you're stuck having to delete them one-by-one and constantly wrestle with these jerks attacking your site. Not a good thing.

Fortunately, there are a variety of different techniques you can use that can make these spammers have to work quite a bit harder to achieve their nefarious goals, and if you're running blogger.com then it turns out that there's a pretty simple way to enable captcha verification. It's all detailed here:

and if you're running a weblog using blogger.com, then you owe it to yourself to read this and make sure you've already enabled this capability, before it's too late!
